ROOTS BLOWERS

Roots Blowers by EVANAIR, are Positive Displacement, Air Pump, Rotary Lobe Blowers. The Tri-Lobe Rotor design working in tandem with the intergral Pulsation Dampening System, allows the Roots Blower to reduce noise, pulsation and vibration levels. Both the drive end and non-drive end are oil splash lubricated for high temperature operation and ease of maintenance, while the sealing chamber ensures Oil Free air flow. The flexible design allows the EVANAIR Rotary Lobe, Roots Blower to be mounted with ports in vertical or horizontal configuration. 

PERFORMANCE

EVANAIR Lobe Roots Blowers are constant volume machines and as such, deliver a fixed discharge against the system back pressure. The cast iron, dynamically balanced rotors provide a pumping capacity determined by size, operating speed and atmospheric conditions. The rotors operate in opposing directions and draw air pockets in which are then compressed and discharged. This allows the EVANAIR Rotary Lobe Roots Blower to be used as a positive pressure Blower, or negative pressure Vacuum Pump.

EFFICIENCY

The rotors clearances and timing are set with highly reduced tolerances, which increases volumetric efficiency. It is important to have adequate size piping and large radius bends to maintain high working efficiency and low power consumption. 

  • Flow rates up to 25,000 m³/hr
  • Discharge pressures up to 1000 mbar
  • Vacuum pressures up to -500 mbar

MAINTENANCE

The EVANAIR Pressure & Vacuum model bearings have a lifespan of 20,000 hours, even under the most severe operating conditions.  The gas seal on the rotor shafts is an exemplary feature. It ensures the flow of oil-free gas by a labyrinth seal coupled to oil splash discs. Regularly changing the inlet air filters, as supplied by L20 Group (Pty) Ltd, and regular oil changes will ensure thousands of hours of operation.

The Closed Roots Blower Package including the noise enclosure is the Noise Reduced complete, Plug & Play Blower Package. Incorporating all of the features of the open blower package, the noise reduced system comes with some additional benefits, including:
